Waste water from industrial plants, exhaust gas cleaning and
agricultural operations, as well as filtrate and centrate water of
community purifying plants sometimes contain such high concentrations of
ammonia that treatment of the waste water before biological purification
becomes necessary or that reclamation of the ammonia, e.g. in the form
of ammoniacal gas liquor, becomes economical.
Stripping processes have proven themselves in removing ammonia from
these liquids. Air or steam function as the carrier gas in the
desorption process. Reclaiming and re-use of the ammonia that is
released is possible by upgrading the concentration. Alternatively,
ammonium sulfate can be manufactured in a subsequent acid washing
process, which, e.g. can find application as a liquid manure in
agriculture.
Both in the industrial sector, as well as in the community sector, we
can provide a wide range of references. Our decades of experience is
your benefit.
